ReddIt is huge...I mean if you want to talk about the game side of Reddit that is one thing; but every topic is its own entity. r/Videogame, r/root_beer, r/AmItheAsshole, r/DC-Cinematics, or r/Zojirushi_Rice_Cookers are all run by different groups and have different agendas. ...and of course the individuals in all those groups all have their own BS going on.
So, Reddit as a whole is fine...but there are for sure dark holes there too. Yet if some people are looking in dark holes that falls on them to answer why THEY are looking in such holes.
There are many things you could do with a subreddit! Here are a few ideas:
- Hold a weekly or monthly theme or discussion thread to encourage engagement and conversation among members.
- Host a giveaway or contest to encourage members to participate and engage with each other.
- Invite guest speakers or experts in your subreddit's niche to do an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session.
- Collaborate with other subreddits or communities to cross-promote and drive traffic to your subreddit.
- Create and share original content that's relevant to your subreddit's topic or niche, such as infographics, videos, or articles.
- Host virtual events, such as watch parties or game nights, that are related to your subreddit's theme or interests.
- Start a book club, movie club, or other shared interest group within the subreddit to build community and encourage discussion.
- Share relevant news and updates related to your subreddit's topic or niche, and encourage members to share their thoughts and opinions.
