    Overview

    Tango Gameworks was a Japanese development studio formed by Shinji Mikami and a number of other ex-PlatinumGames members.

    The company was acquired by Zenimax Media in October 2010.

    After Game Republic shut down in 2011, Tango hired many of its employees.

    In 2020, Micorsoft acquired Zenimax and all of its subsidiaries including Tango Gameworks and Bethesda Game Studios.

    Shinji Mikami left the studio in February 2023.

    The studio was closed by Microsoft in May 2024.
