Your most favorite eyecatch in anime of all time?

My personal favorite of all time is:

Wow Initial D is a really good call. I like those a lot, but my favorite has to be Cowboy Bebop.

@fatdragonquest: I miss watching Gunbuster, such a great series.

The Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood eyecatches stand out in my mind. However, hearing them all back to back in this video and imagining the guy in the recording booth doing dozens of different reads is kinda wild.

"OK, for this one you're really sad. Great! Now, you're feeling kinda cute. Good!"

Dunno if it's my favorite, but the guitar riff immediately springs to mind when I think of eyecatches.

These ones stick with me:

'Eyecatch' is another name for bumpers or idents, the short segments that sometimes bookend commercial breaks during TV shows. In Japan they're usually made by the production studio, rather than the broadcasting network.

I had never heard of the term 'eyecatch' before, and I misread the title as "Your most favorite eyepatch in anime of all time?". I was very confused as to why I wasn't seeing any eyepatches in the links posted.

I guess the ones in OG FMA.

So have I since this thread's inception. So, fuck it. Who is favorite character with an eyepatch?

Metal Gear Solid is anime right? So Solid Snake I'd say haha.

If not, then King Bradley from FMA is who comes to mind.

@gtxforza: The end sound that goes with the blue screen, at 16 seconds into the video you posted, has been my text sound for years at this point. Don't see that changing any time soon.

The Gurren Lagann and Basquash...! ones are super stylish wallpaper material. One Punch Man had also super hype ones.

It's not an anime 'eye-catch', but because of my age and when I first got into anime, I will always associate the Adult Swim bumpers with my earliest (and perhaps fondest) anime memories - Gundam Wing, Dragon Ball Z, Inuyasha, etc.
