Lazarus is a new anime supposedly dropping 2024. Made by studio MAPPA who has a long run of good anime most recently noted for chainsaw man. The exciting part for me is its being directed by Shinichiro Watanabe!
Noted for making cowboy bebop, samurai champloo, animatrix, Terror in resonance, Death parade, and a ton of other dope stuff. also, Chad Stahelski, who is notable for directing the John Wick films, is designing the action sequences.
so far we know the basic plot:
In the utopian year 2052, Dr. Skinner discovered a miracle drug. In 2055, Skinner announces that the drug has a three year half-life and soon everyone who took it will die. A task force of five agents is assembled to locate Skinner and find a vaccine. (Wikipedia)
