Don't know without looking closer but must've been 2017 when he visited for the infamous Shenmue Endurance Run that forever changed the gaming world, but then he went back to West coast for a couple months and then officially joined in 2018. That's how I remember the legend at least. Need to look closer at the ancient scripts for definitive answer. Much sacred knowledge may still be hidden in Vines ripped and posted to YouTube on the unarchived GB channel.
Dan visits New York before moving and can be heard on Episode 63 (and a few more after that I think). After that he shows up on Episode 85 which I think is where he joins GBeast.
